We take the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect on this website, why, and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25 (an Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information).
The person responsible for access to and protection of personal information is Stéphane Légaré, who can be reached at:
a) When you contact us (contact or documentation-request forms): your name, email, phone number, the profile type you select, and your message.
b) When you browse: traffic data (pages viewed, referrer, device type, language, approximate country). If you consent (see the banner), an anonymous identifier stored in your browser lets us distinguish unique visitors. This audience-measurement identifier contains no personal data.
c) For advertising — only with your consent: we use the Meta pixel (Facebook / Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of our ads and show relevant ads. This pixel loads only after you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, it is never activated. It then sends technical browsing data (page views, interactions) to Meta.
Form data is collected with your consent when you submit it. The anonymous audience-measurement identifier is only activated with your explicit consent (banner at the bottom of the site). You may decline it with no impact on your browsing, and withdraw it at any time by clearing this site's browsing data.
We never sell your information. It may be processed by providers that help us operate the site:
Some of these providers may process data outside Quebec. We take reasonable steps to ensure protection remains adequate.
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Where the information forms part of a real estate brokerage file, it is retained in accordance with the record-keeping obligations applicable to real estate brokers (at least 6 years, under OACIQ regulations). Traffic statistics are kept for up to 13 months. After these periods, the data is destroyed or anonymized.
At any time you may: access your information, request its correction, withdraw your consent, and request that we stop using it. Write to us at info@jgacommercial.com.
